Deja Vu is only a theory

After kissing her hand gently, he began to explain the science going into it. After that, he went into explaining it in a bit less depth.

"Its a toxin that acts as a sedative. It replaces the blood, increasing the number of red blood cell generations. This causes the blood to swiftly regenerate. It also acts as a pain reliever. The more I take out, the more toxin i put in. It balances it.

"Ah.... So you're saying that you're attempting to repay your takings?"

I tilted my head, attempting to understand what he meant.

"Indeed. What good is a food source if it is in agony, or even lacking food at all. Plus, taking just for myself would simply be selfish."

He looked at her and smiled as he nodded. In this light, it truly was not selfish.

Tilting my head, I milled over his thoughts.

"So... It's like taking eggs from a chicken, while giving the chicken food, water, and shelter?"

Attempting to dumb it down into examples I've seen, I silently prayed that this would work as one.

"That is a pretty accurate way to look at it actually. I never thought of it like that..."

He smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up.

"Ah, so I can understand if I just relate it to common things!"

Smiling, I jogged a little ahead of him, staring at his home in fascination. Something hit me then.

"Ah... Where are we exactly?"

"Ill keep in mind that i may have to make scientific terms simple. Jamie never got them either. He just looked at me like i was the one who truly didnt know."

He realized that what he said was a bit arrogant. He was slightly embarrassed.

"Err... Sorry."

"It's fine.... I got it a lot from the other Sicarian's."

Shrugging I rubbed the back of my neck.

He walked up to her and embraced her in a hug. He didnt mean to be offensive. He hated being a douche and sincerely regretted his comment.

"I really am."

I nuzzled him gently.

"It's not like you legitimately meant to insult me. The other's always made fun of me for being the last made... And being the color I am. Plus, my awkward abilities."

Shrugging, I smiled.

"And you apologize. It makes it all better."

"You were the last sicarian? Wouldnt that make you the most advanced?"

He was extremely curious about her race. It was new to him.

"Only a matter of nanoseconds. I think.... But I still get ridiculed. I haven't been to the Seventh Plane..."

Sighing, I looked down at my hand, and let it turn into the evanescent light. Wisps of my energy left trails of my movement.

"What about you?"

"I havent met too many outsiders from my race. But i feel pretty intelligent."

He racked his mind for information.

"What is the seventh plain?"

"I'm not sure. Most Sicarian's have gone.. But I can't tell you anything about it, truly."

Sighing, I smiled at him.

"But the fourth... Where I was, there were crystals everywhere.... light was wispy, like my form. I'm not sure what about it made me feel at ease, honestly."

"That sounds absolutely beautiful compared to this dirt stained earth. I would die again just to live in a place that beautiful. But as long as you are beside me, i have that dream fulfilled."

He leaned in.

"This place is beautiful too.. It's the only place I love to do art."

Noticing him lean in, I put my finger on his lips.

"However. You sir. Are probably the best thing I've painted."

I kissed him then, gently.

"Well it is an honor to be one of your paintings. No one has ever portrayed me in the way you did. I have more trust than usual in your accuracy."

He gave off a big smile.

Nudging him gently, I pursed my lips.

"I've seen several better artists... But, I'm glad you have faith in my ability. So, where are we going exactly?"

He thought to himself for a moment. He honestly couldnt remember. That was clearly a bad sign. He let out a soft sigh as he looked at her with a reassuring face.

"I honestly have no clue. Im as lost as you. Unless you mean metaphorically..."

Oh boy...

"We were going to work on your fangs, I know that. And metaphorically is where I was trying to go, yes."

I interlaced my fingers and held my hands in front of me, before blushing. Knowing that he probably thought that I was being annoying, I mentally cursed myself.

He smiled with his eyes nearly closed and rubbed the back of his head. He felt so insolent. How could he forget something so vital to the situation. His hunger was utterly distracting.

"Okay let us go to the laboratory then. The sooner this is over, the better."

He placed his hand on hers and led the path to his hidden 'lair'.

Following him down, I happily kept pace. His hand felt amazing on mine, the coolness slightly distracting.

"What exactly will you be doing to yourself?"

"Nothing to myself yet. Once i make the serum i will be pumping it into my veins and it will take some time to fully transfer into the glands in my mouth."

He gave off a reassuring smile.

"That sounds... Painful though..."

Frowning up at him, I was concerned.

"Its just a needle. I would be a hypocrite if i had a fear of sharp objects, wouldnt i?"

He gave her a quick peck on the cheek before opening the door.
