Lost... In a city of Light. Ironic, huh?

Pacing outside the doors to the Cathedral, I looked around in angst. Zechs was supposed to be escorting me around Majesty today, and said he was going to bring someone with him. Nervous, as this was the first time I had ever been in an actual city without a militaristic escort, I didn't want to mess it up. Besides Zechs first escort, I had never truly seen Majesty. My nature said that I shouldn't be going anywhere with him, but I felt a weird feeling...

Ugh. Finvarre. Grow up a little.

Taking a deep, steady breath, I stood at attention and waited for my Captain.

I walked in the streets of Majesty, heading for the Cathedral where I was supposed to meet one of Concuclare's newest recruits. I was supposed to be going with the head Captain, but he apparently got a problem on the road, since he wasn't there.

Sighing, I reached the Cathedral's ground where I saw a standing suit of armor, apparently waiting for someone. No doubt, that was the person I was supposed to meet, since it was the only unnatural being around. Waving, I called to it.

"Hello. Would you be the person I'm supposed to meet? The newest recruit?"

Turning to the white haired woman, I eyed her.

I guess there's the captain's woman.... Why do I feel so odd from her presence?

Nodding my head at her, I could feel my hands open and close repeatedly, wanting to create my flute and make it disappear again. Dissatisfied with my body, I crossed my arms.

I lifted an eyebrow at her sight. Indeed, Concuclare seemed like a good fighting Faction, but they obviously lacked discretion... But who was I to judge? I had seen so many battles, so many different tactics being used, I came to not question them anymore.

Nodding, I looked around before saying:

"Well, it seems one of us is being late, so I guess I'll take on his part."

Extending my hand, I presented myself.

"Glad to meet you. I'm Aurelyn."

Shaking her hand, I stared at her in silence.

You can't be serious...

I made my Chakrams appear, frowning as I stared at the road.

I took a step back when two Chakrams appeared in her hands. I smiled at the sight of her weapons' quality.

"Those are fine toys. Be careful not to hurt yourself with them, though."

I waited a bit, before asking:

"Could I at least know who I am paired with?"

I let them disappear once more, before narrowing my eyes at the woman.

"Finvarre. They aren't toys."

Turning back toward the road, I sighed.

"You?"

Opening then closing my hands, I made two of my armaments appear in my hands: a longsword in the right, a kris in the left. Both created from the forges of Heaven, they were letting out a bright, yet small halo of light. After a few moments, I made the return to where they came from, along with the rest of my personnal arsenal.

"You seem to like battles, judging by your arms and armor. That's good. One should always be prepared to defend himself."

"It's how I was reborn. Depends on how they defend themselves. Tongue or blade."

Rolling my shoulders, I played with the light for a few moments, before sighing.

Where the hell is he?..

Running to the gates outside the city walls accompanied by his Speed Excel, Zechs was charging to meet up with Aurelyn and Finvarre, due to an assault of bandits on a patrol on the Vasure Plains that stalled their fight, he was incredibly late. "I can't be late! I will not be late!"
"Tch.." He accelerated his speed, blinding him almost completely. "Grr, I am late! Gah!"

He ran to the gates, the guards opening them for him, almost everyone recognized Zechs, the White Aegis. He charged into the city, stopping his speed suddenly, surprising some of the villagers. "Where are they?" He dashed to the Cathedral, where had planned to rendevouz with Finvarre accompanied by Aurelyn. "There!"

He dashed toward them speeding down the the street. "Finvarre! Aurelyn! Sorry I am late, I hope you forgive my tardiness."

He was panting slightly, holding his left arm, blood stained his sleeve.

"I see you two have already met each other, shall we get to business, then?"

At the sight of the Captain, I crossed my arms and stared at him. By the looks, he seemed lik he had been battling, yet that changed nothing to the fact that he was late.

"Indeed, we acquainted each other. I hope that, at least, it was a good fight, that there were no unnecessary casualties."

Moving toward the Captain, I grabbed him roughly, holding out his arm. Frowning at the sight of the blood, I took gauze from my belt and rolled up his sleeve.

Moron... Glad I was a field medic...

Taking antiseptic and some biofoam, I cleaned his wound before wrapping it up, and pulling his sleeve down. My eyes were glowing a malevolent red- proof that I was angry with my Captain for receiving a wound. Summoning my right-hand chakram, I pinned him to a wall before putting one of the eight points to his throat.

"Quit being stupid."

Shoving myself away, I flung my chakram in a flurry of light- making it shatter into a thousand pieces of light in Zechs' face. Angrily putting my back to him, I watched the Angel.

"I- Uh, many thanks, Finvarre."

He adjusted his arm around a few times before turning his attention to Aurelyn.

"No, no casualties to my patrol squad, the ambush was taken care of as fast as possible."

He brushed off his coat, and adjusted his sword straps.

"Shall we tour Majesty, then?"

"Isn't that why we're here in the first place?"

I noticed that Finvarre was still looking at me, yet something was telling me she had something against me... Neverminding that and hoping that it would be settled over time, I smiled.

"Well, at least you're not too much wounded, and lucky for us someone knows how to treat injuries."

I winked at Finvarre and then stepped aside.

"After you, Captain."

Standing at attention until my Captain passed, I waited for him to actually tour us.

Blimey this is going to be awkward..

"Alright then, let's get started."

He started walking with his hand by his sword's hilt, even by his comrades he was still wary of his surroundings, touring wasn't exactly his specialty, but he took his assignment like any other. Efficiently.

"You haven't seen much of Majesty yet, Finvarre, not even half of it, it would be safe to say. But this city holds much more, it's always refreshing coming back here after a mission."

As I looked around, I had to give him right. The city was indeed impressive by its beauty. It looked like a smaller version of my home, the Celestial Plains.

"Indeed, this city is beautiful, but I think it is at its best when seen from above. Yet, I would agree to even say it is as beautiful as where I come from."

"It's okay."

I continued to walk with my compatriots, looking around at the city. Much of it was duller than my home, yet more beautiful in its own way.

Creating my flute, I began to play a mournful tune, as my eyes went green with Nostalgia.

Zechs noticed the people turn their attention to Finvarre, they recognized her playing from before.

"Seems they remember your playing."

He looked around at the admiring people, silently listening to her tune.

"The people of Majesty truly admire you, Finvarre."

"Indeed, you have some talent. And a good one too."

Looking at all the admiring faces of the peasants, I felt a bit jealous of her. While she was capable of attracting admiration by using different talents, while I had none but fighting. In a way, I was envying her.

Shaking my head, I kept on looking around at the buildings and structure to stop thinking about it.

My mournful tune soon changed into one of battle, the springs of the song lighting fierce joy in my heart, dipping and soaring as each part of the song rotated in my mind, the notes dancing in my eyes.

Everyone stares... But no one seems to get why I play it... Just like home...

Ending my song, I threw the flute into the air once more, making it contort into a fireworks display. Making the light move over the crowd, shapes contorting into animals and mythical creatures, I let them enjoy my work. Children laughed and ran with the Pegasus and Unicorns, grown men watched in awe as dragons swooped over them...

But I still frowned behind my visor, looking at the city from a strangers perspective. The houses were almost all the same, for the rich and poor. It was absolutely marvelous... yet.... I still had no interest.

What is wrong with you, Finvarre?...

Zechs listened silently to the song, taking admiration at her visual show with her powers of light, when she was finished, he took a look over his shoulder at her and noticed she seemed off.

"Finvarre? Something wrong?"

He gave a look at Aurelyn, silently asking if she had an answer of what was wrong.

Noticing the man's look and his silent question, I lifted my shoulders in a sign of ignorance.

"She's been like that earlier too. She seems... nostalgic."

Turning towards the ironclad woman, I tried my best not to sound rude.

"What's happening? You've been like this for quite some time now, it making us worried a bit."

"I miss Aion. This kingdom is much like it... Just not as many colors, or celebrations it would seem."

Frowning, I went back into silence, hidden behind my helmet.

How odd... The soldiers in my platoon didn't know me this well, yet these two can read me like an open book...
