The Arctic Voyage

"Gotcha."

Holding out my chakrams, I summoned five ribbons of light- shooting them out to wrap around the Hydra's heads. When they locked onto its scales, I tugged- securing them as though they were made out of tough steel cables.

The monster roared, Ice breath aimed over to Zechs and Finvarre. Rearing, it attempted to escape the ribbons that locked its movements.

"Zechs, I can't hold it for much longer!"

The Hydra stood on its hind legs, preparing to swipe with its tail.

Ice whizzed past the two men's ears, a large Ice Column moving to stab through the hydra. Emerging from the ground, I matched the ice that I erupted from. My ice form matched my surroundings, and I stood between the men.

"Hey. Heard you having some trouble."

"Who's this, now?"

He dismissed the newcomer and and took advantage of his attack, creating Ice Wings and Dragon Claws from the ice around him and from his water gallons, he flew in the air, dodging the oncoming frost blast, going in for a slash at one of the heads.

The hydra lost two of its heads with the attack of the newcomer, but quickly regrew two more heads from each neck that lost a head, firing a frost blast at Finvarre and the newcomer. Knocking Zechs out of the air with a hit from the hydra's head, he landed behind the monster as it shot a frost blast at him point blank.

Dodging, I rolled before leaping up- then stabbing my chakrams into the chest of the beast, just under the pillar of ice. Dragging them down, I ripped open the Hydra- exposing it's fleshy heart.

The Hydra roared, shaking it's many heads before attempting to reach Finvarre. Two of the heads were still occupied with Zechs and the newcomer, biting and breathing its frost breath as the two beings rolled and dodged- either in air or on the snowy ground.

I copied the Hydra's frost breath, using it on the exposed heart, the wound that the armored man had so kindly provided. Once the heart was sufficiently frozen I launched an Ice Column, aiming to shatter the life source of the monstrous hydra.

How are these idiots still alive?

Zechs blocked the frost blast using his Dragon Claws as shields, he jumped out of the way and flew back and regrouped with the others, shattering his Dragon Claws he turned them into spears and threw them at the multiple heads.

The Hydra let out a roar from all of its heads, creating ice armor around its wound, blocking the attacks on its heart, and made a wide swing with its tail

Grunting, I stopped- using my chakram and it's light trail to cut off the Hydra's heads. Burning through them with the light trails, I panted when the last one quickly turned it's head, jerking out of the way.

"Damn!"

Having only one head left, the Hydra roared in anger at us, ice forming more so over the freshly cauterized wounds.

The Hydra roared at its adversaries, realizing that it was outmatched. Turning toward Zechs, it quickly began to exhale more and more frost. Ice began to form, and I shouted.

Knowing that the man would freeze if nothing was done, I stepped in front of the gaping maw of the Hydra, preventing him from taking any more harm. As I took the power into my body I grew from 8 to 10 feet tall.

"Get that ice off of you, it's infused with poison!"

Zechs ignored the frost that hit his left arm, shattering the Dragon Claw on his left arm that had been devoid of any nerves, he infused it with his right arm, and charged straight under the hydra, planning to take the heart out from the bottom.

The Hydra flung its head around, smashing it into the ground trying to get rid of the person who had seemed to not be affected by its frost breath, seeing Zechs approach from the front it swung its tail around itself, attacking Zechs from behind.

Taking the Ice man's warning to heart, I tackled Zechs before flinging my Chakram behind me- it's light trail slicing off the tail and cauterizing it in the same instance.

"Zechs, you idiot!"

Digging through my belt for a Bezoar stone, I put it in Zechs mouth before forcing him to swallow the poison curing seed.

The Hydra shrieked in pain as its tail was cut off, staring at Zechs and Finvarre in utter anger. Quickly, it moved in to swallow the two soldiers- Ignoring the ten foot tall Ice Man.

Frowning at the man carelessly rushing out, I began to run toward the gaping jaws of the Hydra.

"Look out!"

I held the top and bottom of the Hydras jaws in my hand, my head between the sharp, jagged teeth. Smiling morbidly, I formed my pillars of ice in the air- all eight of them.

"Tempus est sursum."

The Large colomns of ice shot toward the beast- one through the mouth, and the others aimed along his body.

"I am getting ahead of myself here.."

He stood up, helping Finvarre up as well, he saw the newcomer's ice pillars rise, he drew his sword Arondight, making an edge of ice along the blade, he stood next to Finvarre, waiting for the beast to strike, rather than attacking it out of pure anger toward it.


The pillar severed the head of the Hydra, making it regrow two more in its place, they shot a frost blast, not at the three standing in front of it, but at the ground, spreading the frost around the entire area, the strength of the frost only carried enough strength to null your senses, but in the blinding frost, they silently crept along the ground, spotting Finvarre and the newcomer, the two heads made a quick strike at the two from the side.
