Deja Vu is only a theory

"Just a needle?"

I raised my eyebrow, before following him into the chamber.

I hope it won't be as invasive as I think it will..

After just a few moments, his formula was fully edited. He began to pour the serum into a tube. The tube was connected to a rather large. He held it over his arm hesitantly. He began breathing heavily.

"Are... You alright?"

Frowning, I gently put my hand on his mid back, staring at him with concern.

"Do you need help? Anything? Please tell me if you do..."

Gritting his teeth for a moment, he clenched them before stuffing the needle into his flesh. It was painful, but just in a sense. He looked back at her with a false smile.

"See, nothing to worry about. Just a small prick."

The serum began pumping into his veins, replacing the old.

Frowning as his smile didn't reach his eyes, I let my arm fall to my side.

"I dislike being lied to, you know..."

Shaking my head, I crossed my arms.

"It's nothing to worry about, I promise. If my skin weren't so thick, it would have been painless. Plus, i am in need of sharper needles."

He gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"Then we'll have to either sharpen them, or find new ones. I dislike you being in pain..."

Putting my hand to his cheek, I looked up at him with troubled eyes.

"Does it still hurt you?.."

"Nah, it just stung for a moment. I've only had to do this one other time. So you shouldnt worry about the pain, it is only temporary."

He grabbed her hand and held it in his. It was comforting to have her there this time. It felt much better, and in a sense, hurt much less.

"Then may it be over soon..."

Holding his hand tightly, I lifted it to kiss his palm, resting my cheek against it.

"I'm so sorry..."

Letting the last of it fill his blood, he knew the transfusion was complete. He removed the needle from his arm with a heavy exhale. The few droplets left out fell to the ground. He looked as his skin began to heal near immediately.

"See? No problem at all. Pain is an illusion."

"An illusion that anyone can fall under, and feel."

Taking his other arm, I kissed where the hole was.

"Now what, since your ah... Needle, has left your arm?"

Tilting my head up at him, I waited patiently for his answer.

He looked down at her with a grin. He felt his stomach rumble a bit.

"The transfusion is complete. I should be able to feed from you painlessly now. The serum would coax you, but you would feel nothing."

"What do you mean by that?"

Tilting my head, I took off my mask and looked up at him.

"That means..."

He looked in her eyes with mass concern. He still had no intention of hurting her and was very nervous."

"It means, if you are ready, i can feed from you."

"I have no quarrel with this.. as you know."

Walking to him, I gently put my hand to his neck, kissing it gently.

He inhaled deeply. He pressed his finger against his own fang, leaving a small cut in the tip. No blood fell out and he knew he was nearly dry. He backed away and looked her closely in the eyes.

"Are you sure about this?"

"I'm not scared. I trust you."

Smiling gently, I tilted my head.

"Don't worry."

Finally letting out his breath only for a new one, he gave her neck a quick peck. Now would be the time to see if the new serum worked. Gently and slowly, he sank his fangs in. He waited before draining.

"Ah... I feel a little light headed."

In truth- my vision was now impaired. Due to my Sicarian nature, Ryan's red Echo was brighter, along with the Echoes of the stones and anything in the room. Several planes were trying to converge in my vision, and it was quite dizzying.

Wiping away any extra fluids from his mouth, he reached to catch her in the chance that she could fall. He was worried he'd done something irreversible and instantly felt this was all a giant mistake. The worst of thoughts flooded his mind inconceivably.

"I don't think this was a good idea."

"No... I just feel really sleepy, and maybe a little flooded... I keep trying to see everything, and it's probably because my Echo is weak... I should've taken a rest, don't worry."

I smiled wide, an effort to reassure him.

"Thank you for catching me."

Pretending to know what an Echo is, he lied her in the bed nearest them. While he felt lively, he felt horrid at the fact he put her in harms way. He was unsure if this would work again. Ever. He sat beside her.

"Its normal to feel drowsy. And you might be a bit drained. But i fear you may experience more than a few symptoms."

I stared at him, able to see the fear and horror in his shadow, along with his energy. Laughing quietly, I put my hand on his cheek.

"Don't worry. I'm glad you feel better though... I can see how much energy you have."

"Yea, i may as well be radiating it. I feel my adrenaline pumping through me again."

He placed his hand on his neck and felt the throbbing sensation that kept him alive. He almost felt as if he absolutely had to move. This was the first time he stuck around after a feeding. He didnt mind, it was just a hyperactive experience.

Smiling, I winced as my vision split again, and closed my eyes.

"Ah..."
