Deja Vu is only a theory

Reaching for her wrist, Ryan moved her hand to him. He gave her finger a quick peck of his lips. It still looked sore.


"When you were pricked, what did it feel like?"

"A sharp pain... I think, my first actually. But then... a slow lull. I think I could've fought it off, if that song hadn't have came into my mind... Honestly, I'm glad it did, but still."

Shrugging, his lips were still like ice on my skin. I didn't mind it, but it was an odd feeling...

He took a mental note. His fangs must be getting dull if she felt the pain.

"I will have to sharpen my canines and increase the pain reduction, then work on the speed of my numbing agent after re-evaluating the last one... Sorry to pain you."

"It's fine. I honestly thought it'd be worse-wait.... Numbing agent?"

I raised my eyebrow at him, a little confused.

I chuckled softly. I had explaining to do. It wouldn't be brief or pretty.

"You know Im a vampire. What you don't know is that I am a very generous vampire. Most vampires kill for blood. They drain their victims that die in absolute agony. I was like that once... But no longer. I developed toxins. My feeding toxin not only filters blood, but causes not only pain relief, but slight pleasure to the 'donar'.

"O-Oh..."

Heat rose to my face as I thought of what that meant.

"S-So... What I was feeling?..."

"Im not sure..."

Thats when it clicked in his mind. He felt stupid for not thinking of it before.

"The formula was for humans, not Sicarians. I guess I dont need to change it since I won't be drinking Sicarian blood."

"oh.."

My voice got small, and my mind wandered. When his fang had pierced me, I.. more or less reveled in the pain.

Wow... How masochistic of me...

He sat upright, his face just inches from hers. He looked her in the eyes before whispering to her.

"Please, tell me what youre feeling, I wanna know."

Heat flooded my face, as his breath hit my face in a cold whisper. Staring into his eyes, I couldn't help but be mesmerized.

Ah.. My mouth keeps wanting to tell him everything..

"A little... disappointed... And.. Scared"

The words were barely a whisper, slipping through my mouth as though they were pulled from my lips.

He leaned just a bit closer, to her ear. He was confused as to what was wrong. He vaguely felt it as well.

"Why? What's wrong?"

He shut his eyes as to feel the answer.

"Ah.. Just.... You're the first vampire I've met... And people fear them so much... As for the disappointment... I'm not sure... Just when you brought up feeding from others...."

Something sparked in me and I had to grit my teeth.

Jeez Dare, jealous much? And you don't even UNDERSTAND Jealousy! You've only seen it! Ugh. I'm fed up with you.

Mentally chastising myself, I left the conversation... With myself.

"Well, its only natural to fear us as a species. We are monsters, the ultimate predators. 'We' slaughter for amusement and dont bat an eye in the process."

He leaned back as to look at her face again.

"I have to feed, otherwise I'll be sickly and weak. If I didn't have to, I wouldn't."

"Well... I'm not scared OF YOU... I'm scared of vampires."

Laughing, I poked his lips gently.

"Besides.. you're not scary. Just... Big and cuddly"

Half tempted to hiss and flash his fangs to startle her, he decided against it. After considering it, he wouldn't want to scare her.

"Well, chances are, I'm not the only one youve ever seen. And as for cuddly... im not so sure."

"Oh?"

Something in me wanted to challenge his words, so I let my form crystallize and pinned him under me. Searching his face for any sign of fear at the sudden diamond-faceted girl over him, I let a broad grin show.

"You're cuddly."

He looked at her rock incrusted face. His lack of reflection annoyed him. Always curious of how he looked, he let his emotions get the best of him. He pleaded with her.

"What... do I look like?"

Stopping, I tilted my head.

"Do you... Want me to paint you?"

Staring down at him, I let go and sat on his stomach.

"I can, if you'd like..."

Feeling dense, he mentally scolded himself for not having such a brilliant, yet simple idea in all these years. Looking Dare in the eyes, he nodded.

"Pretty please? I don't care how I look as long as you portray me honestly."

But... being handsome wouldn't be the worst thing....

"Bring me something to paint on... I already have paints and tools in my Qipao."

Smiling at him, I rubbed the back of my neck, letting go of my crystalline form.

"Ah... If it isn't too much to ask, of course."

Ryan stood up and kissed her repeatedly. He was extremely joyed by this.

"Not at all! Thank you so much!

He rushed out the door to find some paper.

Hurry hurry hurry

Putting my Qipao on properly, I dug in my belt and found my four brushes, and laid them out on the table beside his bed. Then, I brought out the small bladders of my paints, and laid them next to the brushes.

"Ah... Ryan? Where'd you go?"

Returning swiftly, he had a stool and three large canvasses. Meaning to paint on them, it was never his forte, he preferred nature to art.

"I have all the things, I think."

"Ah... Oui. Here, We'll use the stool as an Easel and then I'll mix the paints. You just... sit there, and be as still as possible. Okay?"

Positioning everything was easy. Mixing the paints was easy. Now I just had to paint the target that I would normally just stare at.

Gosh he's too pretty...

Confused, Ryan raised one brow. He hated asking, but feeling dim at times came with knowledge.

"Im sorry, what's an aisle?"
